About

When I decided to create this blog, I had a specific vision in mind. I wanted to provide a place for students of the gospel to congregate and share insights on specific gospel subjects. For years I have wished to participate in a dedicated religious study group, but the obstacles to an "in person" study group have always been too great to overcome. A blog however, provides an ideal format for a group discussion that is limited by neither schedules nor geography.

Another motivating factor behind the creation of this website is my belief that recording what we learn is important. Unrecorded knowledge will be forgotten at some point and then what good will it do anyone? I have always been terrible at keeping a journal and so I hope to use this website as a means of collecting and cataloging my own studies for later reference.

Now please understand that I make no pretense of having any authority to establish doctrine. Feel free to disbelieve anything you read here. In fact I hope you will study, question, pray and develop your own conclusions. The material presented here is not meant to be an all-inclusive or definitive declaration of Church doctrine, but is intended rather to serve as a springboard to your own study.

The purpose of any religious undertaking should be to bring individuals to Christ.  It is my sincere hope that as we study his doctrine together and strive to apply his teachings, we may each be drawn within the encircling arms of his love.

Sincerely,

Wayfarer
